Engaged in a three-month contract with Xcedex working directly with the CTO and VP of Engineering to restructure their existing application framework, databases, and assist with the design and implementation of their application code named Nomad. The functional application was completed during this time.
Participated in two Dev Jam meetings in which we collaboratively designed the Nomad application. There were physical, face-to-face meetings held in Wayzata, MN and in Galveston, TX.
Helped formalize their software engineering practices including introducing them to modeling technologies and automated software builds.
The technologies used on this project included Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, Visual Studio .NET 2008 SP1, Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Embarcadero E/R Studio 7.5, ASP.NET, C#, DevExpress DXperience ASP.NET components, RedGate SQL Toolbelt (mainly SQL Compare 8 and the SQL Comparison SDK 7), Windows Server 2008 with IIS 7, the ASP.NET membership provider, the ASP.NET SQL Server Session State Provider, Apache log4net and other third-party components.

After the InovaWave reset, the company’s name changed to Hyper9 and the company’s direction was completely refocused on server virtualization management. I participated at the founding meeting for Hyper9 and significantly contributed to the overall product direction.
Worked closely with the product management and marketing teams on product direction, planning, assignment and execution of tasks.
Planned, designed, developed, and tested the Hyper9 WMI Enablement Tool, a desktop app that determines which Windows virtual machines allow remote WMI access and for those that do not, determines and reports the reason(s) why WMI cannot be accessed remotely. This tool boosts the successfulness of Hyper9’s primary product.
Integrated VMware’s VIM API (VI SDK) into the Hyper9 product suite.
Managed their Subversion source code control system and automated software build system until a full time admin was hired.
